What advice would you give your teenaged-self?

You don’t need to monetize your talents; simply do the things you enjoy because you enjoy them.

I struggle with taking simple joy in being.

I find that, if I’m not being productive, I often feel like something isn’t worth doing. And so, I discovered that, eventually, I lost my love of writing, of reading, of silly game-playing and wonderment.

Perhaps this advice isn’t just meant for my inner teenager, but for anyone who struggles with finding the joy in existence.

New Life Learning: Taking up joyful space on purpose goes beyond merely being. It’s in the joyful doing–sloppily, messily, colorfully doing!
